Instead of manually inviting every supporter one by one, the Self Registration page lets supporters sign themselves up to volunteer. This shifts recruitment from a time-consuming admin task into a self-serve funnel that works for you around the clock.

How to Create Your Self Registration Page
Open the Self Registration page
In the Admin Portal, navigate to Self Registration.
Activate the page
Turn the page on when you are ready to accept new volunteers. You can pause it at any time if signups need to slow down or stop.
Add visuals and messaging
Upload a registration image and write a clear title and short intro text. This is your chance to explain who you are, why this campaign matters, and what volunteers will be asked to do in UpVote.
Customize the form fields
Click Add Input to collect the information that matters most to your campaign, for example:

Community or institution, such as a synagogue, union, school, or neighborhood group

These fields help you sort, group, and assign volunteers more effectively later.
Preview the page
Always preview the page to make sure it looks clean and easy to understand before sharing it.
Share the link or QR code
Distribute the page anywhere your supporters already are, including WhatsApp groups, text messages, emails, social media, or printed materials at events.
Managing New Registrants
Scroll to the bottom of the Self Registration page, you will see a list of pending approvals. This gives you full control while still benefiting from self-serve signups.
For each registrant, you can:

Approve them and instantly convert them into an UpVote volunteer

Reject the request if they are not a fit

Export the list to Excel to review offline or share with staff
Once approved, new volunteers receive an automatic message with login instructions and can begin using UpVote right away.
