Review Data Change History

See what changed on a voter’s record, who made the update, and when it happened.

When voter information looks different from what your team expected, Data Change History helps you review the recorded edits. Use it to understand updates, investigate discrepancies, and keep follow-up grounded in the record.

1. Open the voter’s history

  1. Open the Voter Card for the person you want to review.
  2. Click More Actions.
  3. Select Additional Information.
  4. Scroll to the Data Change History table in the additional information shown below the voter details.

Current route: Voter Card → More Actions → Additional Information → Data Change History table. The table appears on the same page; you do not need to select a separate history menu item.

2. Read the recorded changes

The history table shows the details of each recorded update:

What changed

The field that was updated, together with its previous and new values.

Who and when

The Changing User and Date columns identify the recorded user and timestamp. The Choose Action column can identify the source of the update, such as Excel Upload.

Illustrative data using the current column labels. In the live table, Choose Action can show the source of a change; it is not necessarily a button.

  • Sort by date: Use the sort control in the Date column header to change the order.
  • Adjust the view: Use Records per page and the previous/next page controls below the table when more entries are available.
  • Recognize imports: Excel Upload identifies imported updates in the records reviewed. A change may come from an upload rather than an individual edit on the voter card.

3. Use the history to resolve questions

  • Review an unexpected update: Compare the previous and new values before deciding what needs attention.
  • Coordinate with your team: Use the recorded user and timestamp to understand the context of a change.
  • Check follow-up information: Review changes to support status, contact details, or other recorded voter data.

Review before correcting. If an update seems wrong, confirm the information with your team before editing the voter record. Viewing history is a way to investigate a change, not an instruction to reverse it.
