Keep official voter status up to date
When your campaign receives updated early-vote or absentee-vote data from the state or a trusted data provider, upload it to UpVote. Current voting records help your team focus outreach on the people who still need to vote.
Why this matters
Better data leads to better voter outreach
A campaign should not spend valuable volunteer time reminding someone to vote after that person has already cast a ballot. Updating official vote status keeps your campaign view accurate and makes every outreach action more relevant.
Focus on voters who still need outreach
Volunteers can prioritize people who have not yet voted instead of spending time contacting voters whose ballots are already recorded.
Reduce unnecessary follow-up
Accurate status data helps prevent avoidable reminders and keeps relational messages timely, credible, and respectful.
Keep campaign progress accurate
Current vote records give your team a clearer view of who has voted and where additional mobilization is still needed.
Before you begin
Prepare the right file, then follow the upload flow
Use the official data supplied by your state or data provider. The voter IDs in your file must match the voter IDs already stored in your UpVote campaign.
Your upload file
The file only needs one required column. Label the first column Voter ID and place one voter ID in each row.
Important: If an uploaded Voter ID does not exist in your UpVote database, that record will not be updated.
Upload process at a glance
